Thunderbird Resort After weeks of long days filled with work, Jeff and I look forward to a great weekend time together. Our list of places to visit grew longer and we wanted to pass some time to see one, considering after the rain poured hard in the Metro the past few days there’s a great sign of seemingly a sunny weather for this weekend.

Another great sign is that one could take advantage of the rainy days promo of selected resorts and hotels, just as we enjoyed in our overnight stay at Thunderbird Resorts- Rizal.

Thunderbird Resorts Rizal, is nestled on the eastern part of Manila, about an hour drive from Quezon City. This hotel and Fiesta casino, our first in the Philippines, is located on a tropical hillside overlooking the country’s largest lake. The luxury boutique 43 room suite hotel has three restaurants and a meeting area and is adjacent to a private 18-hole golf course to which hotel guests have access. The property is located on the eastern side of Manila, while all other significant casino developments are on the western side. This property is being expanded to include an event center, spa, and additional food and beverage areas, as well as an expanded casino and we anticipate completion of the expansion by the first quarter of 2009.

Perched in a highland valley along the Sierra Madre range, Thunderbird Resorts – Rizal is more than the usual quiet mountain sanctuary. It’s a luxury getaway that provides a spectacular setting for you to relax, rejuvenate, and rediscover yourself.

Our 41-suite luxury resort is a sprawling mass of lush tropical greenery and elegant interior design. To meet your sophisticated business and leisure demands, we offer world-class services and amenities – all set within easy reach from Manila.

Relax. Escape from the buzz and bustle of the urban city and feel the elegant vibe of our modern, organically-accented suites, all of which offer breathtaking views of Laguna Bay during daytime and of the Manila skyline at night. Then visit any of the resort’s themed restaurants: the Pool Bar for the perfect al fresco barbecue adventure, the Vegas Buffet for a sophisticated international culinary experience, the quiet Mediterranean-inspired Nueva Laguna for a private, romantic rendezvous, or the Cabana Bar for a lively, upbeat party with bands and shows catering to an exclusive crowd.

Rejuvenate. Take a dip into Thunderbird Resorts – Rizal’s aqua blue infinity pool, surrounded by a manicured tropical leisure area with a palm, rustic feel. Nearby, there’s a Jacuzzi for an even more intimate plunge, or you may perfect your swing at the adjacent 18-hole championship Golf course. Inside the resort, open 24/7 for leisure, recreational luxury, and entertainment, is an international casino.

Rediscover. Thunderbird Resorts – Rizal is at an inspired location with a thriving creative community: Binangonan, the art capital of the Philippines. At the foothills of the resort, you can find and explore a rich cultural patina of art houses, studios, galleries, museums, and heritage sites. Find new ways of self-expression and rediscover yourself in this flourishing setting.

Thunderbird Resort
As we intend to relax and spend valuable time together. I could not help but to take the plunge on the bed and slumber.
But I was just reminded that there’s the 72 par, 18-hole championhip golf course of Eastridge Golf Club.

I would like make a little correction. I am from Binangonan. It was stated above that Binangonan is the art capital of the PH. In as much as it’s a great honor, in reality, it is ANONGO,Rizal, a small town west of Binangonan, is the righteous owner of that title.
