Growing up in a city and living in a place with only few trees and plants makes me more ecstatic to witness a “secret garden.” I have first encountered Sonya’s Secret Garden from an officemate. She was loaded with romantic and beautiful stories of the lovely garden and the tasteful menu. Her endless stories made me really inquisitive to visit Sonya’s Secret Garden.
I was totally convinced to go. I got Sonya’s contact number from another officemate’s copy of Brides Yellow Pages. Since Sonya’s is now first in rank choice for more clandestine and solemn weddings. I was advised to contact them for a reservation. I got a prompt reply of their rates and services. I hope this helps.
Sonya’s Country Bed and Breakfast also known as (B&B) is an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast (Php 2500 per person on weekdays) and (Php 2800 per person on weekends and holidays), plus 10% Service Charge and 12% VAT. Check in time is at 2:00pm and Check out time is 12:00 noon. They have a special package rates for bigger groups for weddings/birthdays etc.
The denizens of Tagaytay would definitely agree that Sonya’s Secret Garden is not a secret at all. It was not kept a secret to Tagaytay’s residents and tourists from the Metro even all over the world. Going to Sonya’s has been the perfect hideaway solution if you want to spend time with your partner or friends over a nerve-wracking week or simply to smell the aroma of the flowers around or most likely to eat a hearty meal and set aside meat and fatty foods.

First thing that you would do, is to discover its lush gardens, you will be astonished of the stunning huge area planted with thousands of varieties of fruiting and flowering plants. It was a perfect summer and just so in time to see the garden bloom, an authentic burst of colors which is truly relaxing and delighting to the senses. No wonder that there are people who just drop by to take lovely pictures of the verdant garden, and let the soothing aroma of the herbs please your senses, as it is visibly found on the dining table.

On foot to the Bed and Breakfast area to, envisage staying and sleeping in a non-airconditioned room with no television to agitate serenity. Tagaytay being well-known of fresh cool freezing air making the weather agreeable that one does not need an air-conditioning. The rooms are designed with exquisite soft white curtain with shells which adds a romantic touch. Notwithstanding the idea of being surrounded by plants, natural repellents proliferate in the gardens thus, there are no irritating mosquitoes but instead charming fireflies.
Picture yourself waking up in the morning to smell the aroma and see the rich garden, just outside your window. It’s the Bed and Breakfast experience which only Sonya can provide.

This would be my first time driving south if ever. Do you know of a step-by-step guide map I can use in going there?

Hi Victoria, I usually buy those maps available at National Bookstores or convenience store in Gas stations for different provinces like Cavite, Batangas etc. I find very useful and been to places just following those maps, each costs around 150php.
Just follow the directions posted above and consult the map when in doubt. Our Cavite map have a detailed portion of the Tagaytay area where each establishment is posted.
Where are you coming from so I can post more a more detailed instruction?

Hi Victoria,
1. Coming from QC, take either EDSA or C5 to SLEX
2. Drive about 45minutes (40KM) at SLEX and look for the Sta. Rosa exit, this is next to Carmona and Mamplasan exit. Take this exit.
3. After the toll gate, turn right and just drive straight, until you reach Tagaytay City (you can just follow the cars ahead of you as most of them are headed towards tagaytay, don’t follow them though if they make a turn). Take a right turn
4. Drive straight across Tagaytay City after you pass by all the restaurants and the market.
5. DO NOT turn just head straight, after 15-20mins look for the Sonya’s Garden sign on your right. You’ll drive into a narrow road just follow it and you’ll be able to see Sonya’s Secret Garden

Thank you for visiting EatAndRun!
Hi zhe!
For pre-nuptial you may check with Sonya’s Garden staff to inquire if they would be requiring you a fee to have full access of the garden for your pre-wedding pictures you may contact them through +63917 533 5140 or +63917 532 9097.
Hi leo anne!
There are few plants placed in a rack which are up for sale like mint.
Hi Lara
No entrance fee. You can definitely drop by the place and check out the garden just like what we normally do in few hours after which it would make you crave to try their sumptuous healthy buffet offering, that we can’t resist though.
Thank you and God bless!
Regards,
Edz

Hi Barney, look at my comment above. We usually purchase maps at National Bookstore, they have one for each province. For tagaytay, you’ll want to purchase the Cavite map.
My comment above is pretty detailed though, as long as you have an idea on where you’re going you won’t get lost. Just follow the traffic as most of them are headed to Tagaytay City Proper. Hopefully you’ll get to tagaytay city without difficulty, the difficult part is finding Sonya’s Garden itself. You have to pass Tagaytay City and towards Batangas where the roads are a bit empty. If all else fail, just ask around
Have a good trip.

Hi there,
I will be staying at Sonya’s garden for my stay. How do i get from Talisay to Sonya garden by public transport? And is Sonya garden walking distance to the Paradizoo Theme Farm?
Lastly, I will be travelling to Batangas Pier to catch a ferry to Puerto Galera after my stay at Sonya’s garden. How do I get to the pier via public transport and how long will it take?
Hope to hear from your advice soon.

Hello!
Were planning to have our intimate wedding reception, of 30 guests, at Sonya’s Garden. We we’re assigned to a cottage/venue good for a group of 30, which I have the impression that its quite small? Anybody, who have held there wedding there at Sonya’s at the same cottage/venue and number of guest? I’m quite worried if the place would be ideal for us… I want a simple, yet elegant wedding. Any comments please…
