Mister Kabab, located in West Ave. Quezon City is our go-to restaurant whenever we crave for flavorful, and spicy food that Mediterranean food has to offer. They offer great, no-fuzz Mediterranean food at great prices, to be honest we haven’t found a place yet that can match their food especially their garlic and hot sauce at that price bracket, some came close, but still more expensive.
We had our first try of their food way back when they still at the corner of Quezon Ave. and West Ave., back then the food was great, but the place, and service was terrible, it was a practice then to get your bill at the moment that they had your order.
But that was a thing of the past as now they now have a bigger place, enough staff and parking space most of the time. Although, at times during weekends where you have to fall in line to get seated. Don’t be discouraged as it is very rare that you’ll spend 15-minutes in there. They also serve your food faster now as before, but I noticed that this has a disadvantage, as the food were prepared in advance, the meat lose its tenderness already and not even warm at times.

The place has a cozy feel to it, not air-conditioned but comfortable, a large hall full of tables and benches, lit with tungsten colored-lights, and cooled with quiet yet effective ceiling fans. Most customers don’t spend a lot of time, or hang out in there, usually just give their orders, eat good food, talk for a few minutes, pay the bill and go head out.
Our all time favorite is their special beef cielo kebab, second is their shawarma plate, and lately I usually take their special chicken cielo kebab. One (or two) things we really liked about Mister Kabab is their creamy garlic sauce and hot sauce, they are really good.
A budget of 120-200pesos is usually more than enough per person.
Mister Kabab is located along West Ave., it is a couple of meters away from Quezon Ave , just look at your left after you turn right to West Ave.
EDIT: Mister Kabab now have a second branch, on the 2nd Floor of U.P. – Ayala Technohub along Commonwealth Ave.

I know this restaurant and was a favorite even before I went to UAE(where Iranian restos are a staple of the food scene) and their offerings are very close to the real thing, actually ang naiba lng naturally portions, naturally mas less to suit the Filipino diner at less oily, they really use a lot of butter. I would recommend the yoghurt shake, it is called Meethi Lassi here, or sweet buttermilk drink, just ask them to lessen the sugar as they tend to make it too sweet as per the Filipino taste. And the Mutabbal, it is eggplant based and I lke Mister Kabab’s better than the Persian/Arab original coz our local eggplants are sweet( I find the eggplants here mkati s dila for some reason).generally, yeah the food is good to eat there and to take home.

Wow, we thought their food is good, but we don’t know that they’re THAT GOOD. Nice to know that what they’re serving us are close to authentic, as well as adjusting to Filipino taste.
Thanks a lot for your comment.

Aaaay! I love Mr. Kabab! College pa lang ako kumakain na ako diya. When me and my brothers eat there, halos maubos namin yung isang bote nung garlic yogurt sauce nila. And yes, we adore the yogurt shake as well. You’ll know they are very close to the original kasi they ask you if you want sugar or SALT (!?!) in your shake! Persians daw kasi like it with salt. Interesting huh? But yes, ask them to cut down on the sugar kasi matamis yung shake nila. I’m also starting to write about some restos. Maybe you huys can comment about them too in my food blog!
